My paintings are an exploration of snippets of the world around me. I take the ordinary, overlooked scene and make it possible for the viewer to pause and appreciate a slice of life which is usually ignored. Some paintings grow out of sketches and studies, but most are from snapshots. I work in both acrylic and oil. I have an both a B.F.A. and an M.A. in art. I've worked many jobs to support my art habit, the most recent being teaching art at a private high school. I've been a working artist for 30 years.
